Program Overview

Spend six unforgettable weeks in Costa Rica, home to lush rainforests, volcanoes, and rich ecosystems, all while earning academic credit in the theme of your choice.

You will study at ULACIT (Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencias y Tecnología) in San José, blending hands-on coursework with cultural immersion in a setting unlike anywhere else on Earth.

Will my credits transfer to my home university?

Yes! Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencias y Tecnología is a recognized institution. We provide full syllabi and documentation to support credit transfer. Check with your academic advisor in advance for pre-approval.

Is Spanish required to join the program?

No prior Spanish is needed. All academic courses are taught in English. Optional evening Spanish classes are available to enhance your experience.

How can I make sure my university will accept my credits?

Each university has its own credit transfer process. We recommend checking with your academic advisor or registrar's office ahead of time. Most institutions require a course syllabus for pre-approval. You can download the syllabus using the Explore Course Options link above or request it at studyabroad@expanish.com.
