UCCS Practicum in Language and Literacy in France

**Please note: Inquiries and participation approval for this trip should be directed to the faculty leader, Mary Hanson, at mhanson3@uccs.edu. This is a small, pre-approved group of students participating as part of a graduate practicum experience.**
Program Information
This program is for graduate teaching and learning students that have been pre-approved by Professor Mary Hanson to participate in the Practicum in Language and Literacy course in France during the summer term. If you are part of the course going to France, you will also need to register with the UCCS International Affairs office. You can do so by clicking on the Apply Now button above, which will prompt you to set up a profile in our system and begin your application.
Please direct all inquires regarding course and credit information, dates and itinerary, cost and payment information, and housing to Professor Hanson. Faculty approval is required prior to an application being accepted.
Cost and Payment Information
Please see the program leader for cost and payment information, including payment due dates. All program fees will be payable directly to Professor Hanson.
Included in the program cost are the following items:
- Local accommodation
- Local transportation
- Daily meals
NOT included in the program cost are UCCS tuition, round-trip international airfare (estimated $1,500), additional meals, tipping and personal spending money, and medical travel insurance.
Passports and Immigration
All participants need to have a valid passport to participate in this program. The passport needs to be valid at least 6 months after the anticipated departure from France. Participants holding a U.S. Passport do not need a visa or additional permission to enter France for this program. Those who do not hold a U.S. Passport should check with the closest French embassy or consulate for the country they hold their passport from for entry requirements.
