Program Information

Travel to France to learn the different approaches and culture when it comes to the future of Work! Learn how you can best prepare yourself for a fast-changing work force!

Dates and Itinerary
The dates of the trip are May 31st through June 7th, and a tentative itinerary can be found below (a detailed itinerary will be finalized and posted by September 1st).

May 30th: Individual departures to Paris
May 31st: Arrive in Paris, Walking tour, Welcome Dinner
June 1st: Breakfast at hotel, Tour of Latin Quarter, Eiffel Tower, Seine River Cruise
June 2nd: Breakfast at hotel, Musee du Louvre, Paris Catacombs
June 3rd: Breakfast at hotel, Guest speaker, Visit to University of Paris
June 4th: Breakfast at hotel, INSTEAD Fontainebleau visit, Fontainebleau forest and castle visit
June 5th: Breakfast at hotel, Organization visit, Guest speaker
June 6th: Brekfast at hotel, Day trip to Reims
June 7th: Breakfast at hotel, Departure from Paris


Cost and Payment Information
Estimated Total Program Cost: $2,900

The estimated total program cost breaks down as follows:
  • $150 International Affairs non-refundable Education Abroad registration fee (due December 1st, 2023)
  • $2,750 program fee (non-refundable payment due to API)
Included in the program fee are the following items:​​Hotel and ground transportation
  • Meals listed on the itinerary
  • Entrance fees to most sites listed on the itinerary
  • Travel medical insurance
NOT included in the program cost are: 
  • UCCS tuition (if taken for credit)
  • Additional meals
  • Tipping and personal spending money
  • Round trip flight to Paris (estimated at $1,050)
  • Travel/trip protection insurance
Participants will pay the program fee directly to API online by January 1, 2024; please see their website for more information (payment link will become live by October 30, 2023).

**Please note that students seeking credit will be billed tuition on their UCCS account at their regular student rate for the term.**


Housing
All housing accommodations are in a hotel. The hotel offers internet access, double occupancy rooms, and dining facilities.
Passports and Immigration

All participants need to have a valid passport to participate in this program. The passport needs to be valid at least 6 months after the anticipated return date to the US. Participants holding a U.S. Passport do not need a visa or additional permission for this program. Those who do not hold a U.S. Passport should check with the closest embassy or consulate for the country they hold their passport from for entry requirements.

Health and Safety

Health and safety are paramount to a successful experience studying abroad. We encourage students to research health and safety considerations of the destination they wish to travel to. The U.S. Department of State (DOS) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) provide up to date and comprehensive information about health and safety abroad.
