Program Information
Are you interested in English history? Do you love Shakespeare? Learn about England's Monarch Henry V in this study abroad program as you travel through England and France!
Course and Credit Information
ENGL 3920/HIST 3000/HUM 3990: 3 credits each

Students can opt to participate in the program not for credit. Priority acceptance will be given to those students seeking credit.
Dates and Itinerary
The dates of the trip are May 22nd through June 6th, and a detailed itinerary can be found below.
May 22: Depart for London
May 23: Arrive in London and Orientation & Walking Tour followed by Group Dinner
May 24: Visit to Westminster Abbey in the morning; Train to Canterbury in afternoon with visit to Canterbury Cathedral
May 25: Free day in London
May 26: Transfer to Shrewsbury with a stop at Kenilworth Castle and the Shrewsbury battlefield
May 27: Day trip to Monmouth Castle and Tintern Abbey 
May 28: Transfer to Portsmouth for ferry to France
May 29: Ferry to France
May 30: Day trip to Mont Saint Michel
May 31: Day trip to Normandy Beach & Bayeaux
June 1: Transfer to Amiens via Rouen with visit to Joan of Arc Museum
June 2: Free day in Amiens
June 3: Transfer to Agincourt with stop in Somme & Abbeville
June 4: Visit to The Battle of Agincourt Museum
June 5: Transfer to London via Calais with stop at Dunkirk(?)
June 6: Depart London for home


Cost and Payment Information
Estimated Total Program Cost: $6,829
The estimated total program cost breaks down as follows:
  • $150 International Affairs non-refundable Education Abroad registration fee (due February 1st, 2024)
  • $6,679 program fee (non-refundable payment due to EF)
Included in the program fee are the following items:​​
  • Hotel and ground transportation
  • Round trip flight to UK and France
  • Meals listed on the itinerary
  • Entrance fees to most sites listed on the itinerary
  • Travel medical insurance
NOT included in the program cost are: 
  • UCCS tuition (if taken for credit)
  • Additional meals
  • Tipping and personal spending money
  • Travel/trip protection insurance
Participants will pay the program fee directly to EF online by March 1, 2024; please see their website for more information (payment link will become live by October 30, 2023).

**Please note that students seeking credit will be billed tuition on their UCCS account at their regular student rate for the term.**

Housing
All housing accommodations are in a hotel. The hotel offers internet access, double occupancy rooms, and dining facilities.

Passports and Immigration

All participants need to have a valid passport to participate in this program. The passport needs to be valid at least 6 months after the anticipated return date to the US. Participants holding a U.S. Passport do not need a visa or additional permission for this program. Those who do not hold a U.S. Passport should check with the closest embassy or consulate for the country they hold their passport from for entry requirements.

Health and Safety

Health and safety are paramount to a successful experience studying abroad. We encourage students to research health and safety considerations of the destination they wish to travel to.
