ACADEMICS
Bridge

The International School of Management (ISM) International Business Certificate is designed for students with a strong interest in a study abroad semester at a German University. The certificate allows students who do not speak German at an advanced level to take business classes in English and earn ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits during their stay at ISM. The ISM Business Certificate can be studied at each of the five ISM campuses: Dortmund, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, and Cologne in the fall, spring, and summer semesters (campus dependent).

HOUSING AND CAMPUS LIFE

Students studying at ISM generally find housing accommodations in off campus student residence halls or apartments. The type and cost of accommodations varies by city. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the excellent public transportation system during their stay at ISM.

The International School of Management (ISM) affords students the opportunity to experience a variety of different student clubs and extracurricular activities. Participating in these clubs and activities is an excellent way for students to have diverse experiences, meet new friends, build teamwork skills, and make valuable contacts in the business world. In addition, ISM offers a buddy program which is designed to help incoming international students acclimate to German life.

HOST INSTITUTION

The International School of Management (ISM) ranks among Germany's leading private business schools and continually places in the forefront of university rankings. The ISM has campuses in Dortmund, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, and Cologne. At ISM, an accredited, non-profit private university, tomorrow's leaders are trained in compact and practice-relevant degree programs that prepare them to work in international business. All degree programs at ISM integrate practical and small group projects and have an international exposure.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
Health and safety are paramount to a successful experience studying abroad. We encourage students to research health and safety considerations of the destination in which they wish to go. The U.S. Department of State (DOS) and the Centers for Disease Control  (CDC) provide up to date and comprehensive information about health and safety abroad.
