How to Apply (Login Assistance)

 

Eligibility

You must be in good academic and disciplinary standing at UCCS in order to study abroad, and you must also meet the eligibility requirements of the program. Education Abroad requires that students complete at least one semester of coursework as a UCCS student prior to traveling unless stated otherwise on the program page. Please note that some programs will require advanced standing for consideration.

Creating an Application 

After going through steps 1-5 of the Steps to Study Abroad, you can apply to a program. Please follow the instructions below to apply for your program. If you have any questions during the process, please do not hesitate to contact International Affairs at international@uccs.edu or (719) 255-5018. 

1. Use the Program Search to find your education abroad program
 
2. Click on the name of the program to go to the program page. Once there, click on the gold Apply Now button on the upper right side of the page. Once you've clicked Apply Now, you will be prompted to create an application. As part of the process, you will be asked to provide the system with some basic biographical information.

NOTE: The email you use will be your username for the remainder of the application. It is highly recommended that when you provide the system with an email, you use your FULL UCCS email address.
 
3. A temporary password and further instructions on how to complete the application will be sent to your email.
 
4. When you log in for the first time, you will be prompted to answer a series of security questions, required to change your temporary password, and complete more in-depth biographical information.
 
5. Once logged in, the system will have created a personal homepage with your program of choice listed as your application. Clicking on your specific application will allow you to see a checklist of requirements that you need to complete for your application. If your program of choice is not listed as your application, please click Programs to access your program of choice again.
 
6. Be sure to read the Applicant Instructions on the left side of your application for a list of which items will need to be completed prior to the application deadline. All other items can be completed at any point before or after the deadline, but must be completed before you depart the U.S. Clicking on each requirement will also display relevant instructions specific to that requirement.

NOTE: if you are applying to an exchange or third party provider program, you will need to complete BOTH the UCCSAbroad application for approval AND a direct application for admission to the program provider or host institution. Exchange programs also require formal nomination from International Affairs before the direct application can be completed.
